8. CCTV Usage at One Motivation Gym and Fitness

To enhance security, One Motivation Gym and Fitness operates a Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) system in compliance with the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018. CCTV cameras are placed in key areas such as entrances, exits, and common workout spaces. Cameras are not installed in private areas like changing rooms or restrooms.

Purpose of CCTV Usage:

  • Ensure the safety of members, staff, and visitors.
  • Prevent theft, vandalism, and other criminal activities.
  • Assist in legal investigations where necessary.
  • Monitor adherence to gym policies and safety regulations.

Data Handling & Retention:

  • CCTV footage is securely stored and accessed only by authorized personnel.
  • Footage is retained for a maximum of 30 days unless required for an ongoing investigation.
  • Requests for access to CCTV recordings will be reviewed in line with legal requirements.
